KATE WALLICH + THE YC
AND MADBOOTS DANCE
Kate Wallich + The YC and MADBOOTS DANCE join forces in SPLIT BILL, a raw premiere of two new works co-presented with Velocity Dance Center. SPLIT BILL is the beginning of a cross-country dialogue between the two companies, offering audiences in Seattle, New York and beyond a rare opportunity to engage with the works in a liminal state.SPLIT BILL will set in motion the creative process for two expanded performances from both companies. The information and momentum from this exchange will inform their individual works due to premiere in the following year.Support for SPLIT BILL was made possible through Velocity Dance Center’s Artist In Residence Program. This work was also created in part through Base’s Anchor Tenancy program.

MADBOOTS DANCE
MASC
A performance work that considers masculinity universally and through a queer lens, MASC is a loud declaration that puts the “immaculate” American manhood into question.
MADBOOTS DANCE is the hyper-physical, provocative dance company led by Jonathan Campbell and Austin Diaz — named “25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine in 2016. MADBOOTS has reached audiences nationally and internationally, tackling topics of male identity and queer culture. madbootsdance.com
