Velocity’s Board of Directors is composed of artists and arts advocates who combine a passion for dance and the arts in our region with exceptional leadership skills. Listed below are Velocity’s current board members.

We’re looking for new board members to contribute their passion and experience to Velocity.
Velocity combines the vibrancy and community of a small arts organization with a highly professional staff, so our monthly board meetings and annual retreat are warm, relaxed, and efficient. There are also many opportunities to engage with the organization and the artists we support.
Each board member has the opportunity to contribute their skills and creativity by participating in fundraising, working on policy, and sharing their operational expertise. Trustees represent Velocity to the community—spreading the word about our programs and events, attracting new supporters and donors. They also represent the community—ensuring a diversity of perspectives are recognized, and that Velocity is responsive to the artists we serve.
Too busy to serve on our board? We also need people to share their expertise and vision as community members on our committees—facilities, finance, fundraising, special events, and others as needed.
We accept applications on a rolling basis and review them bi-annually. You will then have an opportunity to meet with a current board member or committee member and executive staff to find out what’s involved.
