The history and architecture of the Stonewall Inn (the United States first LGBTQ+ national landmark) and images taken by photojournalists of patrons and police outside of the bar during the Stonewall Riots of 1969 are at the heart of interdisciplinary performance maker Fox Whitney’s latest Gender Tender project, Melted Riot. Fox and others interested in this terrain invite you to join them for a conversation about the influence of historically queer events and spaces on their current performance practices and artistic imaginations.
