// MEDIA LIBRARY //

The MEDIA LIBRARY is Velocity’s catalogue of resources for dance artists looking to keep in touch with the local and inter/national art community. Its aim is to nourish curiosity and help combat the anxiety artists often experience with the overabundance of stimulation and media we have available in the 21st century, by having a comprehensive, curated list of resources at your disposal.

Part of our Media Library is available in our office in the form of an ongoing collection of books and journals on dance, contemporary performance and arts administration, put together by the staff and friends of Velocity. Come in to check out a book, or browse through our physical archives dating back to Velocity’s inception! Another resource Velocity has to offer is our vimeo collection where you can watch full live performances, speakeasy chats and more! You can also hear podcasts and watch Velocity artist chats on our online journal STANCE.

Have something in mind you’d like to submit to the media library? We’re always looking to expand! Email communications@velocitydancecenter.org with a link and a brief description.
